They were both mufassah’s kids. In traditional lion social spaces, once the males come of age they go find their own pride to sire young. Simba returning, is a human epic; it defies the social norms of the pride!

incest is actually really natural in the animal world!! it doesn’t usually cause genetic setbacks unless there is a history of it in the family’s genome.
